Churches
On Praca Tiradentes is the Cathedral, built in neo-gothic style and inaugurated in 1893; it was restored in 1993.

The oldest church in Curitiba is the lgreja de Ordem Terceira de Sao Franscisco das Chagas, built in 1737 in Largo da Ordem. The lgreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Sao Benedito was built in the Praca GaribaIdi in 1737 by slaves and was the Igreja dos Pretos de Sao Benedito. It was demolished in 1931 and a new church was inaugurated in 1946.

Museu Paranaense, Praca Generoso Marques, includes documents, manuscripts, Museu ethnological and historical material, Stamps, works of art, photographs and archaeological pieces. Museu de Arte Contemporanea displays Brazilian contemporary art in its many forms, with an emphasis on artists from Parana.

Museu de Arte do Parana, in the Palacio Sao Francisco, exhibits the work of many of Parana's artists with lots of zoology and scientific collections, also details on endangered species in the State.
